It started to rain in Baton Rouge and South Louisiana, and seemed to never stop. A downpour for 10 days straight. And then the flooding began. Now we are used to lots of rain and river flooding in this part of the country. But not a day in, day out deluge of water. The canals and small streams backed up and overflowed into subdivisions flooding thousands of home and vehicles. It will take years to clean up and repair. Randy Newman’s song below just might be on target. Are they tryin’ to wash us away? See my thoughts in my new column now posted.
